Tracking blogs is only the first step. Companies should also comment on blogs in their space to form a relationship with the blogger. As part of this conversational marketing it is essential to record past comments, so they aren’t repeated. Bloggers love getting comments from those they write about, but getting a comment that shows no recollection of having commented before is a sure sign of a sloppy PR campaign.
